if Spock was going to date ANY woman from the enterprise crew it would be chapel, NOT uhura & the only reason they didn’t do this instead in star trek (2009) was because they didn’t want more than 1 female character and they knew they couldn’t reasonably cut out uhura but they still wanted spock to date a woman to avoid the implication that he was gay so uhura was the only option
